Genesis
It is strange that I have named this post Genesis, because I will start off talking about the end. I started blogging a while back. In fact, because nothing ever goes away on this Internet of ours, you can still check out my old blog. It was Thursday, July 17th in 2003 when I decided to stop blogging because things were very hectic during that time and wasn’t sure what I wanted to do. It also became the “thing to do” and that of course began turning me off to it. Today, blogs are big business and a great place for information. It is unfortunate that in the tech community it appears that we spend a lot of time being negative, but that of course gets more eyeballs to click those ads.I am back, partly because I have some things to say, ideas to share with you, and partly due to my work-partner-in-crime, Mike Swanson. Mike continually harasses me for not having a blog (yes, the evidence is on his blog, go check it out, it’s actually good) and now I can give him some grief back. You may have noticed that I work for Microsoft as an evangelist. What the heck does that mean? Well, you will find out over time. Since many of you will find yourself here because of my employer be warned, this is my personal blog and you will be subjected to many pictures of my pets, reviews of my yearly pilgrimage to Ozzfest and my latest wine selection. Consider yourself duly warned. But I will probably discuss Microsoft quite a bit since I spend most of my life in its service.I hope you will subscribe to the feed and go on this ride with me. Mike, the sleeper has awaken!* * A Dune reference if I am not mistaken.
